Congratulations to the scholars that make up the All Academic teams.

The Miami Valley Baseball Coaches Association will recognize the academic teams based upon the Varsity Baseball Teams’ overall GPA.  In an effort to continuously reward student-athletes that excel both in the classroom and on the baseball field, the MVBCA would like to honor an entire team for their academic excellence.

For a team to be eligible for this team award, the coach must fill out all TEN lines on the spaces provided.  The top ten players on the Varsity team will be used to determine the overall GPA.  All players that are on your list should receive a varsity letter.  The GPA that you submit should be the players GPA that he attained from the first semester of high school as a freshman until the last semester completed.  Please remember that only grades based on a 4.0 scale will be accepted.  No weighted grades will be accepted.  All GPA’s submitted should be to two decimal places.

Two different awards will be given:

GRAND SLAM AWARD: This award will go to the team that has a GPA average of their ten players that is a 3.50 or better.  A certificate will be presented to the coach at the all area meeting recognizing the team for its accomplishments.  Teams will also be recognized in the Dayton Daily News, the MVBCA web site, and in the program for the MVBCA All-Star Game.
HOME RUN AWARD: This award will go to the team that has a GPA average of their ten players that is a 3.20-3.49.  A certificate will be presented to the coach at the all area meeting recognizing the team for its accomplishments. Teams will also be recognized in the Dayton Daily News, the MVBCA web site, and in the program for the MVBCA All-Star Game.
